Active Holidays Are In Vogue
These days, people have a dizzying array of holidays to choose from. By heading online, they can take their pick from a host of options. Whether they want to check out the static caravans for sale in Wales or set off on far flung adventures, they should not struggle to achieve their aims.
It seems as though a rising number of consumers are keen to get active while away from home, rather than simply lounging around on the beach. Drawing attention to this phenomenon, a BBC News report suggested that vacations that involve swimming, cycling and running are in vogue.
The article claimed that more people are switching on to the possibility of triathlon holidays.
Commenting on the trend, the news provider said: “For some people, the thought of spending a holiday swimming in cold, fresh water lakes, cycling up mountains and running along rivers would be enough to make them want to cancel the trip and stay at home. They might belong to the beach holiday fan club. Or be of the cultural, sight-seeing school of thought.
“But just as triathlon… has seen its popularity soar, triathlon holidays, which encourage people to work on all three disciplines, are taking off too.”
The BBC pointed out that the profile of triathlons was boosted in the UK last year when brothers Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee secured gold and bronze medals in the discipline during the Olympics.
Meanwhile, the article went on to suggest that it is mainly people in their 20s, 30s and 40s who are taking triathlon vacations. They are mostly men with average salaries of around £45,000 and they are willing to invest both time and money in their hobby.
One individual who loves getting the chance to train while on holiday is Matthew Hartley. The 46-year-old father-of-four says he is “hooked” on the sport. Recently, he went on his first triathlon vacation. Commenting on the reaction of his loved ones, he said: “My family were, bizarrely, pleased that I could go on a triathlon training holiday and just train in comfort, peace and confidence without the burden of daily chores to get in the way.”
Of course, people do not have to launch into triathlons in order to enjoy active trips. By taking advantage of the caravans for sale in Wales, consumers can ensure they have a superb base for exploring beautiful countryside and coastline. Whether they want to splash about in swimming pools, head off on treks or take to two wheels, they can do so with ease.
Meanwhile, when they wish to simply relax, they can do so. There are plenty of excellent eateries, pubs, museums and other attractions for holidaymakers to enjoy.
There are many holiday homes for sale in Wales and by heading online, people should be able to find versions that suit all of their preferences and requirements. To peruse their options, all people need are a spare few moments and a web connection. They can even check out the holiday homes on offer while on a break at work or while they are relaxing in the evening.
